WHAT TO EXPECT
Join us on Hinge's couch!
Tucked into the back of the shop on our big comfy sectional, Hinge's Living Room turns into storytime central the first Monday of every month. It's 45 minutes of fun, open hearts, and zero pressure to sit still. Kids can wiggle. Kids can ask questions. Kids can just be kids.
Our reading list is curated around four things: inclusion, emotional well-being, challenged books we're proud to feature, and plain old joy and silliness. Stories that help kids name their feelings, see themselves reflected in literature, and learn about the big beautiful world around them.
Every little reader walks away with a custom Hinge coloring sheet to keep the creativity going at home. Kid-sized hot chocolates or frothy babyccinos available for purchase to fuel the imagination.

Hi, I'm Meg. I've called Knightdale home for nearly 20 years. It's where I raised my son, and I've loved watching this town grow into what it is today.
Supporting young minds has always been part of my journey. I hold a Master's of Education, I'm storytime trained by Book Harvest, and Youth Mental Health First Aid certified.
I'm showing up as a volunteer because I believe in what Unhinged is building, and I wanted a way to pour back into the next generation of my Knightdale neighbors. Can't wait to read with your kiddos.
