FIND YOUR THERAPIST: SPEED DATING

FIND YOUR THERAPIST: SPEED DATING

A low-pressure, no-cost first step toward therapy. Meet local clinicians, ask real questions, and find someone who feels like a fit. Saturday, October 10 at 2:00 PM, on World Mental Health Day.

WHAT IS IT?

Finding a therapist shouldn't feel like a blind date.

Searching directories, reading bios, and hoping the first call goes well can make starting therapy feel like a lot. So we're flipping the script. Speed Dating for Therapists lets you meet several local clinicians in person, in one afternoon, over a coffee, before you commit to anything.

How it works:

1. Meet the clinicians. Rotate through short, casual one-on-one conversations with therapists from different local practices, specialties, and approaches.

2. Ask what matters to you. How do they work? Who do they usually see? What does a first session look like? No question is too basic.

3. Panel Q&A. After the rounds, the clinicians come together for a panel-style Q&A about therapy and what finding the right fit actually looks like.

4. Follow up if you click. Leave with names you feel good about and reach out on your own time. Zero obligation.

This is round two. Our first speed dating event in February 2025 was so well received that we had to bring it back, and there's no coincidence in the date: October 10 is World Mental Health Day.

Who is this for?
Anyone curious about therapy, whether you've never been, you're thinking about going back, or you're looking for someone new. You don't need to know what you're looking for yet.

Is this a therapy session?
No. Think of it as an introduction. You won't be asked to share anything personal, and you're in charge of how much you say. It's about getting a feel for people and approaches, not diving into your story.

Do I have to book with anyone?
Nope. There's no cost and no commitment. If a clinician feels like a good fit, you can follow up with them directly afterward.

How do I get a spot?
Spots are limited so every conversation gets real time. Reservation link is above!

Need support right now?
This event isn't a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline any time.
